WebApr 3, 2024 · This is most likely a glitch in the monitoring software or a misreading of the sensor data, rather than an actual problem with the CPU. First try to use an alternative monitoring tool: Try using a different monitoring tool, such as HWMonitor, HWiNFO, or AIDA64, to cross-check the readings. WebHey all, I just wrote up a little script to help with checking for clock stretching. It's helpful for me, so I thought I'd share it with the community. WebJan 14, 2024 · HWiNFO64 seems to correctly say the clock speed is 1596.1. So doubling for the DDR4 would in fact yield about 3200. However, when I run CPU-Z, it says the DRAM frequency is 798. This is half of what WHiFO64 is saying. The memory should be 3200. That is what was advertised and that is what I paid for and that is what I expect. WebSometimes certain BIOS versions limit your multiplier, I've experienced this on one of my older intel systems. This does not indicate that this is the limit of your CPU. When everything is working properly, the CPU will run at any frequency that you set (or at least attempt to, if it's unstable it may crash or fail to boot entirely).

WebSep 16, 2024 · Higher CPU usage can directly cause higher clocks. In general, the more load processes put on the CPU the higher and more consistent the CPU frequency - up to a certain point of course. When there's less load on the CPU it will reduce the clocks. That's the (normal) behavior when using the Balanced power plan.

WebAdded HWiNFO64 readings to compare to HWmonitor I was really few minutes into Prime95, I use XTU, HWmonitor and HWiNFO64 to check stuff.
